Arietta Merlot, Hudson Vineyards
Arietta’s Merlot is grown in the Hudson Vineyards G and I Blocks, which lie immediately below the H Block. Planted in 1986 using clonal material from the Three Palms Vineyard, the Merlot vines in the G and I Blocks are at the height of their maturity and vigor. To concentrate flavors we thin the crop to 3.5 tons per acre, producing a rich Merlot wine of great character and complexity, specific to site, and built to last. The Arietta Merlot Hudson Vineyards is wild-yeast fermented and aged for 20-22 months in French oak barrels of which 50% are new.
