Summer Offering: 2012-2017 Arietta On the White Keys Artists’ Reserve

Arietta White Wine On The White Keys Artists Reserve Label
Arietta On the White Keys Artists’ Reserve: Vintages 2012 – 2017

We’re planning to stage a bit of summer theater in the form of a ZOOM vertical tasting of all vintages of the Arietta On The White Keys Artists’ Reserve from 2012 through 2017.   To seed the audience (you, our subscribers) we are releasing small quantities of each vintage from the Library, individually, and in vertical six-packs. Arietta winemaker Andy Erickson will join proprietors Caren and Fritz Hatton on ZOOM on Saturday, July 18, at 3pm PST/6pm EST.  Gather your family and/or a few close friends on your porch or in your backyard (appropriately distanced), and join us to discuss and rate the wines according to personal preference.  Open as many as you like!

Arietta On the White Keys Artists’ Reserve Tasting Notes:

Arietta White Wine On The White Keys Artists Reserve 2012-2017

Like its siblings, the Arietta On The White Keys Artists’ Reserve stands apart as a result of barrel selection, extended aging, and the use of a higher percentage of new French oak.  Subscribers who have purchased the White Keys Reserve since its debut in the 2010 vintage are well aware of the intriguing and varied personalities of this wine in each vintage—a gaggle of talented musical offspring, all having mastered different instruments.

However unique the White Keys Reserves all brim with freshness and reward with breadth and grandeur, thanks to the intense hillside Sauvignon Blanc, barrel fermentation, and dry honey character of the Semillon.  We rack the barrels selected for the Reserve White Keys into second use French Oak Barrels for an additional eight months’ aging, and bottle the second winter following harvest.   In so doing the White Keys Reserve attains greater depth and polish than the White Keys, and needs several years’ bottle age to reach its apogee.

Price:

$85 / 750ml bottle
